The forming and sizing sections both incorporate the quick-change system with quick decoupling from the universal joint to the drive shaft of the horizontal roll assembly
When performing the changeover, the whole shaft assembly (with rolls, shafts and bearing blocks assembled as a block) can be lifted out of the horizontal stand for quick change. While roll change is being performed offline, another pre-assembled set of the shaft assembly can be reinstalled onto the horizontal stand to complete the changeover process.
The Turks Heads are designed with detachable cartridge to allow for quick changeover. The cross frame housing the rolls can be removed from the Turks Head as a mono-block assembly. A spare set of detachable cross frames with rolls are offered which can be prepared offline to reduce changeover time.
