When it comes to change the sizes of the tube, forming & sizing automatic servo-controlled roll adjustment system carries out completely automatic and efficient adjustment of rolls, with one click for calculation of roll positioning, and another click to pull out and execute the recipes to the desired adjustment. The operation can be conducted either on site or remotely.
With a motion controller as the core, forming & sizing automatic servo-controlled roll adjustment system generates the operation of each switch and button into software programs that are transmitted to each output ports, to respectively control various servo motors, solenoid valves, and other actuators.
The tube mill roll adjustment is based on the specification of the square/rectangular tube of the first production, for which the roll adjustment is conducted manually, and then is stored in the memory of servo motor encoders. When it comes to producing different sizes of square/rectangular tube, the roll adjustment is made based on the first one, to adjust the same distance along up and down, or left and right. Due to the clearance of gear meshing and the slight deviation of theoretical formula and actual practice, therefore, there will be a certain amount of mechanical tolerance at the phase of initial forming. It’s necessary to make secondary fine adjustment based on the tolerance of the first produced square/rectangular tubes, of which the tuned data is saved as templates to create the recipes menu. The recipes menu can be retrieved when the tube sizes change in future, to conduct corresponding adjustment of rolls through the control of servo motor, to the set requirement.
